2023 Elan Ripstick 102 W

As the widest Ripstick in women series, the 102 W is the ultimate ladies freeride ski to use when it gets deep and steep. If you never waste a waist deep day, this is the ski you need to maximize the float and the fun! Have no worries, if you miss the best days of the season, the Ripstick 102 will still be your best friends any other day of the week, smoothly cutting through windblown snow and crud with ease. The skis’ SST sidewalls provide direct power transmission to the ski edges and assure control over the full length of the ski. Elan’s new Amphibio Carbon Line technology elevates the asymmetrical design and tip to tail Tubelight wood core with additional carbon reinforcements for greater edge grip, all while maintaining ease and precision through every turn.

advanced to expert skier; 2022 Women's Elan Ripstick 102 W

Advanced - Expert
  • If you enjoy hitting the biggest features in the park, aggressively carving high speed precision turns, and taking the steepest lines you can find, you will probably benefit from the features of an advanced - expert ski. These skis will be engineered with power, stiffness, and rigidity in mind. You will likely find layered construction with materials like carbon, metal and stiffer woods.

All Mountain

  • An all mountain ski is engineered to be dependable in most terrains you have in mind. This could include heavy snow, steeps, font-side groomers, ice, and powder. If you have one ski in your quiver, this would be a good choice.

Powder/Big Mountain
  • Big Mountain and Powder skis will tend towards the stiffer side, usually with more rocker in the tip, and the tail having less. Hard chargers who prefer high speeds and bigger lines will benefit from the features these skis have to offer. These will typically be the widest skis and not be the best choice for piste.
amphibio rocker profile; 2022 Women's Elan Ripstick 102 W

Amphibio (Elan Specific)
  • Elan’s Amphibio technology is a hybrid rocker profile that splits camber and rocker between the inside edge and the outside edge of the ski, respectively. The full camber on the inside gives the skis precision edge grip while the rocker profile on the outside edge aids transition in turns, also providing float in deeper snow.
