The Cabrio MV Free 95 W IF is a freetouring-oriented boot with a softer, more flexible 95 flex. It’s the most comfortable boot in the Cabrio MV Free W line, designed for women who enjoy a ski boot that combines performance, fit, and comfort for varied terrain. In addition to a last of 101 mm, which offers ample space in the boot, the IF (Instant Fit) HIKE MV W liner ensures an optimal fit. The liner, specially designed for MV (Medium Volume) boots, consists of separately manufactured, partially pre-shaped components like the parts around the ankle and forefoot, which are made of slightly softer material for added comfort.
The boot's shell is based on the Dalbello Cabrio design, a three-piece construction consisting of a cuff, shaft, and external tongue. This design provides an even flex, harmonious cushioning, and stable lateral and heel support.
The boot features a special bi-injected tongue that uses softer plastic in areas that experience the most flex when walking, supported by thinner tongue ribs in those regions. Another important part of the uphill package is the Ski-Walk mechanism. This mechanism adapts to the angle of the cuff through a curved interaction surface, automatically regulating the lateral inclination for a smoother transition between skiing and walking.

TECHNOLOGY

MICRO-ADJUSTABLE BUCKLES:

micro adjustable buckles

Permits skiers to precisely “fine tune” buckle closure tension for a more exact fit. With micro adjustment, you can twist the buckle to make it longer or shorter.

FORWARD LEAN CONTROL:

forward lean control

FORWARD LEAN control wedges may inserted at boot rear between lower shell and cuff to change forward inclination angle.

PROGRESSIVE CABRIO CONSTRUCTION:

Dalbello's unique Cabrio construction combines a boot shell/boot cuff assembly with an external Kinetic Response Tongue closure which enables a smoother and progressive power transmission same as great shock absorption. Together these features provide great versatilty and better adaptability on different kind of snow and uneven terrain.

GRIPWALK PREMOUNTED:

gripwalk
Better walking comfort and more grip - that's the big benefit of this boot mounted with GripWalk soles! These new soles are compatible with GripWalk specific bindings (marked with the GripWalk icon) without any height adjustment and can also be skied with touring bindings (ISO 13992). They are not compatible with regular alpine bindings (ISO norm 9462).

PURE:

Polyurethane Recycled Enforcement. A robust outer layer of recycled PU on the liner provides a direct power transmission from the leg to the shell

DYNALINK + DYNALOCK:

The Dynalink is fixed coaxially to the pivot so the buckle really works with a 45° angle and the heel is held back more efficiently. Moreover, the buckle has an articulated tail that engages the base of the lever (Dynalock) and only disarms when you try to open the buckle

CABRIO SKI-WALK:

The new Cabrio ski-walk mechanism has the interaction surface with the shell curved to automatically adapt to the canting adjustment. In addition, the forward inclination of the cuff can be adjusted by changing the rear insert which can be easily unscrewed with a screwdriver

CUSTOMIZABLE BOOT BOARD:

The boot board has small holes with depth markings. This feature allows boot fitter to grind precisely and adjust the stance both frontally and laterally

Flex Index
  • Flex Index is how much effort or work is required to move the cuff of the ski boot forward while the lower shell is stationary; typically retained by the binding. This number can be anything from 50 or 60 to 130+ (or even 1 - 10). There is no standard for this number across the ski boot industry and the ‘Flex Index’ is not based on any metric like newton-meters, foot-pounds, or Pascals. Even within within any given manufacture’s line-up, a boot with a Flex Index of 110 might not be the same as another boot with the same rating. The main thing to remember is that the higher the number, the stiffer the boot. The Flex Index should only be used as just one general factor in choosing a ski boot.
  • Your style of skiing, experience, level of skiing, terrain, use, height, mass, and personal preference all play a role in helping you pick the stiffness of your boot. A World Cup racer or an advanced/expert skier that prefers making precision turns at high speeds requiring techniques using a lot of tip pressure might need a stiffer boot. On the other hand, someone who hits the slopes every weekend with her family or Patrols three days a week might prefer a more moderate flex.
Last
  • ‘Last’ is a metric that describes the width of your foot at its widest point, which is typically at the forefoot or the ball of your foot. This will be represented in millimeters: i.e: 102mm. This is a critical consideration, because going up a size in a boot will move the widest part of the boot forward while the widest part of your foot will be kept reward. As you can gather, going up a size is not an option.

  • Our Touring boots will typically be made with lighter materials. They will also generally have a ‘Walk’ mode in the rear of the boot, allowing the cuff to release for a greater range and ease of motion. Our Touring boots will be compatible with bindings designed for Alpine Touring (A/T) and equipped with ‘Tech’ Inserts. Also, permitting the boots are equipped with Alpine or Grip Walk soles, they will be compatible with most contemporary Alpine DIN Bindings. Both A/T bindings and Alpine DIN bindings must be installed, adjusted, and function tested by a certified binding technician.
*If you’re unsure if your boots and bindings are compatible, please have a qualified technician give them a tactile and visual inspection.  ?
