2022 Tyrolia Ambition 12 MN Alpine Touring Bindings

The Ambition 12 MN is a world-class alpine touring binding with innovative climbing technology, natural ski flex and proven TYROLIA downhill performance. The binding features the AT Toe, which can be easily adjusted to adult Alpine (ISO 5355 TYPE A), adult Walk (ISO 23223 TYPE A) and all Touring ski boots (ISO 9523), plus a 65 mm wide mechanical Anti Friction Gliding Element to provide constant release values. The binding also has a unique lightweight telescopic tube that allows exact centering of the binding on the ski by adjusting it to the appropriate boot sole length before mounting. The state-of-the-art climbing aid (0°/5°/10°/15°) is positioned as close as possible to the Alpine Touring heel, providing better walking balance and effortless climbing in all conditions. Its low stand height of only 38 mm improves stability and offers a confident stance. In short, this touring binding allows a ski to flex naturally, provides constant release values and all the safety and downhill performance expected of a high-end TYROLIA binding. For boot soles from 260 mm to 350 mm.

DIN, ISO, and Boot/Binding Compatibility
  • The DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) scale on your bindings is the ski industries’ adjustment range for the release force settings on your skis’ bindings. This number will be determined by your age, weight, height, boot sole length, and your skier type (not always correlating with your skier ‘ability’). This setting should always be adjusted by a qualified technician after a visual/tactile inspection and function test.
  • Tyrolia Ambition MN Bindings are compatible with adult Alpine (ISO 5355 TYPE A), the new adult Walk (ISO 23223 TYPE A), Gripwalk (ISO 9523), and all Touring ski boots (ISO 9523).
  • Wear and tear on your boots' soles can and will affect the release and retention of your binding/boot system. Often, these can be replaced by a dealer.
*If you’re unsure if your boots and bindings are compatible, please have a qualified technician give them a tactile and visual inspection.
Brake Width
  • For your brakes to function correctly and prevent damage to your skis and bindings, your brake width needs to be at least as wide as the waist of your ski. For example, if you have a ski that has a waist of 96mm, an appropriate brake width could be 100mm. Never choose a brake that is more than 15mm wider than the waist of your ski. Often, wider OEM brakes can be purchased for your powder skis. Always have a qualified technician perform this work.
